DO YOU NEED WAYS TO RELEASE THE PAST- BOTH IN YOUR BODY AND IN YOUR SPACE?

Do you find yourself resisting letting go of the past?  Are you holding yourself in the past by keeping items you no longer use, need or even like?  Is your body holding energy from the past?

The other day I found a large file of paperwork from a committee I was on over a year ago.  I did not have a pleasant experience and so...why was I keeping all the paperwork.  It was full of negative emotion so I released it. Do you have dishes that hold bad memories of old relationships?  Maybe it is time to release them.

Yin Yoga is a practice of letting go.  You allow gravity to do all the work and invite your muscles to open up and release the past and allow new energy into your body.

I practice Yin Yoga with my favorite Yoga Instructor, Kassandra.  Yin Yoga is restorative there is no pulling of forcing.  As Kassandra likes to say, "invite your muscles to let go and open". 

As I practiced today I found myself saying to myself, "I allow my body to release the energy of the past and I open myself to the new energy of the Universe."

When I finished, I had the strong desire to remove 5 items from my space....I was drawn to exactly the items and I immediately removed them.  Now I am not saying it was easy, I find that even though I thought my home was clutter free and totally purged I am indeed holding on to many things I no longer need or use and it is not easy to let them go.

I am using my Yoga Practice along with meditation in order to release the past and allow a new pleasant future to come into my life.
